Biography

Two-year starter expected to retain a berth as one of the team’s top linebackers . . . Versatile, hard-working junior who plays with great intensity and emotion . . . Has made great improvement during last two seasons and should be even more of a defensive standout in 2016 . . . Played in all 24 games with 21 starts during career.
 
2015:  Started all 12 games and finished fifth on the team total tackles with 52 . . . Had 6.0 tackles for loss with 1.5 sacks while also recovering a fumble . . . Made at least five tackles in four games, capped by eight-tackle effort in Live United Bowl victory over Southwestern Oklahoma . . . Had seven tackles with a sack against Missouri Western . . . Contributed four tackles with 2.0 for loss and a fumble recovery in win over Nebraska-Kearney . . . Named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
 
2014:  Compiled 31 tackles while playing in all 12 games with nine starts . . . Had 5.0 tackles for loss while also breaking up two passes, forcing two fumbles and recovering one fumble . . . Made two tackles with one for loss while causing and recovering a fumble and knocking down a pass in first-ever start against Fort Hays State in season-opening win . . . Racked up career-high 10 tackles with 1.5 for loss in win over Washburn.
 
2013:  Sat out redshirt year.

High School:  Two-way standout at Stigler High School . . . Accumulated more than 8,000 yards total offense and accounted for 98 touchdowns during career . . . All-Area Large School Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior by both the Muskogee Phoenix and Fort Smith Southwest Times . . . Earned Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State accolades his final season . . . Also starred in baseball, basketball and track for the Panthers, placing twice in the state meet in the 1,600-meter relay and earning All-Conference honors twice in baseball.
 
Personal:  Education major, but wants to coach . . . Both grandfathers (Don Satterfield and R.E. Shearwood) played college football . . . Names the Denver Broncos as his favorite professional team . . . Enjoys fishing as a hobby . . . Twin brother (Colton) played at UCO from 2013-15 . . . Birthdate is July 5, 1994.
