Biography

Two-year starter and former national qualifier expected to take over at 133 pounds this winter . . . Tough, hard-nosed senior veteran with physical style who is poised to finish his career with a flourish . . . Transferred to UCO from Oklahoma at the semester break in 2011-12 and started the second half of the season en route to earning national tournament berth . . . Redshirted the following year before returning at 141 last year and started most of the season.
 
2013-14:  Missed most of the first semester to injury before earning starting role at 141 in January and went on to finish 13-13 with five bonus-point wins . . . Struggled early and was 3-7 at one point before going 10-6 the rest of the way with all five bonus wins . . . Finished third in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament . . . Went 2-2 in the rugged Central Super Regional.
 
2012-13:  Wrestled in one open tournament at 125 while redshirting.
 
2011-12:  Took over at 133 right after joining the team and went 4-1 in his opening weekend at the NWCA Division II National Duals with a trio of two-point victories . . . Went on to finish 18-9 with six bonus-point wins and qualified for nationals with fourth-place Super Regional Two finish . . . Won first match at regionals before losing two straight to drop into the fifth-place match, but won a 5-1 decision there and then claimed fourth with 7-0 shutout in the challenge match . . . Opened the national tournament with second-period pin of eventual fourth-place finisher Evan Yenolevich of Kutztown, but was eliminated with two straight losses.
 
OU:  Saw limited action for the Sooners in 2010-11 before electing to transfer midway through the next season.
 
High School:  Two-time state placer at Choctaw High School and an All-Stater as a senior . . . . Finished prep career with a 105-12 record.
 
Personal:  Physical education major looking to become a coach . . . Enjoys fishing as a hobby . . . Names the Dallas Cowboys as his favorite team  . . . Lists Johnny Cash as his top music artist . . . Birthdate is Aug. 31, 1991.
