Historical

Junior 174-pounder who should be a key force for the Bronchos this season . . . Has been slowed by a variety of injuries throughout his career, but showed what he’s capable of during off-and-on starting stint last year . . . Strong, physical veteran with great work ethic who is ready to have a major impact and has the ability to vie for All-America honors.

2013-14: Opened the season in the starting lineup and had falls in the first two duals . . . Made the finals at the Fort Hays State Open in early-December, but suffered concussion early in that match and didn’t return until the NWCA Division II National Duals in mid-January . . . Was sidelined by another injury after that, coming back to earn a major decision in UCO’s final dual and then went 2-2 in the rugged Central Super Regional . . . Finished 9-5 with four bonus-point wins.

2011-13: Sat out both years because of injury.

2010-11: Competed in just one open tournament while redshirting.

High School: Prep star at long-time power Perry High School, leading the Maroons to three straight Class 3A state championships . . . Captured state title as a sophomore and senior while finishing runner-up as a junior . . . Went 45-2 his final season in earning All-State honors and was 85-8 with 44 falls for his career.

Personal: Nursing major and multiple member of UCO Dean’s Honor Roll . . . Enjoys hunting as his main hobby . . . Names the Oklahoma City Thunder as his favorite professional team . . . Lists Eric Church as his top musician . . . Birthdate is Sept. 14, 1991.
