Biography

Former starter and senior veteran set to contend for starting slot at 125 pounds . . . Sat out redshirt year in 2014-15 and is eager to get back on the mat . . . Started his first two years before splitting time in 2013-14 and definitely has the ability to get the job done . . .
Owns plenty of experience and is primed to finish his career in style.
 
2014-15:  Competed in two open tournaments during redshirt year, going 5-4 with four bonus-point wins . . . Placed fourth in the Oklahoma City Open . . . Was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
 
2013-14:  Put together a 14-13 record with three bonus-point wins while starting throughout the first semester and parts of the second . . . Placed fourth in three tournaments – the Oklahoma City Open, the Fort Hays State Open and the Jet Invitational. . Went 4-2 in the FHSU meet with a pair of one-point wins . . . Was a second-team pick on the NCAA Division II All-Academic Team.
 
2012-13:  Was a redshirt candidate to start the season, but ended up starting all year and went 18-16 with six bonus-point wins . . . Placed fourth in the Jet Invitational and was third in the MIAA Tournament, bouncing back from a semifinal loss with two consolation wins . . . Went 1-2 at the Super Regional Two Tournament . . . Earned Division II All-Academic honorable mention honors.
 
2011-12:  Wrestled more matches (46) than anybody on the team, finishing 27-19 with eight bonus wins . . . Placed in four tournaments, taking third in three meets and fifth in the Super Regional Two Tournament . . . Won four straight matches after second-round loss to finish third in season-opening Oklahoma City Open and went 6-1 for third-place showing in amateur bracket of the Loper Open . . . Was also third in the Missouri Valley Open and just missed out on national tournament berth with fifth-place effort at the regional.
 
High School:  Prep star at Marlow High School, winning four regional championships and three state titles . . . Had a 128-12 career record, going 30-0 as a senior in earning Duncan Banner Wrestler of the Year and All-State honors . . . Also a state qualifier in golf and a cross country letterman.
 
Personal:  Kinesiology major looking to become a physical therapist . . . Enjoys golf as his top hobby . . . Names the Oklahoma City Thunder as his favorite professional team . . . Lists “Miracle” as his top sports movie . . . Birthdate is May 12, 1992.
