Biography

Senior standout and team leader who spearheads UCO's defensive front . . . Is set to start for the third straight year and will be a force on the line at nose guard . . . Has played a variety of positions on the line during his career, having been a consistent performer throughout . . . Tough, physical player who really excelled during spring drills and is ready to finish with a flourish.
2011:  Was one of just a handful of players to start every game and tied for third in total tackles with 68, including 9.0 for minus-24 yards in losses . . . Also broke up two passes, forced one fumble and recovered one fumble . . . Had five-plus tackles in seven games, highlighted by a career-high 12-tackle outing against Fort Hays State that included 3.0 tackles for loss . . . Made nine stops with 1.5 for loss against Southwestern Oklahoma while causing and recovering a fumble to set up a UCO score . . . Also made eight tackles at Cal Poly and had seven-tackle games against both Angelo State and Northeastern State.

2010:  Started every game and was an honorable mention All-Lone Star Conference North Division selection . . . Topped all down linemen in tackles with 51 total stops, including 4.0 for loss . . . Had five-plus tackles in five games, capped by seven-tackle outings against Midwestern State, Northeastern State and Texas A&M-Commerce . . . Had a half-sack vs. MSU and a tackle for loss against NSU.

2009:  Played in 10 games with three starts and ended up earning honorable mention All-LSC North Division honors . . . Had 15 tackles on the season with 2.0 for loss, including a half sack and one pass broken up . . . Best outing was four-tackle effort against Southwest Baptist that included a tackle for loss.

High School:  All-District and a Tulsa World All-State pick as a senior at Broken Arrow High School . . . Also lettered three years in baseball for the Tigers.

Personal:  A public relations major . . . Brother (Josh) is a junior offensive lineman at Emporia State, UCO's opponent on Sept. 15 . . . Enjoys fishing and hunting as his top hobbies . . . Names the Texas Rangers as his favorite professional team . . . Birthdate is Nov. 7, 1991.
