Biography

Defensive line mainstay back for a second try at his senior season after missing most of last year to injury . . . Started the first three games of 2011 before suffering season-ending injury and earned hardship ruling to retain a year of eligibility . . . Has worked hard to return to form and is eager to get back on the field . . . Powerful big man ready to make a impact in the defensive interior at tackle, owning the ability to be a force as both a run-stuffer and pass rusher . . . Three-year letterman with plenty of starting experience who needs to be a defensive leader for the Bronchos.

2011:  Had eight tackles in the first two games before going out with injury in opening minutes of Angelo State contest . . . Made five tackles with a half-tackle for loss and blocked a field goal against Southeastern Oklahoma.
2010:  Started all 11 games and was an honorable mention All-Lone Star Conference North Division pick . . . Finished with 40 tackles, including 6.5 for minus-32 yards in losses with 2.0 sacks . . . Made career-high seven tackles with a half-sack against Pittsburg State . . . Had five-tackle outings against Midwestern State and Southeastern Oklahoma, collecting a half-sack in each of those contests.

2009:  Started in five of 10 games played and finished with 15 tackles . . . Had three tackles for loss, including one sack, and forced two fumbles . . . Had three-tackle games against Southeastern Oklahoma and East Central, with lone sack of season coming against the Savage Storm.

2008:  Made five tackles with one for loss in his first-ever college game against Pittsburg State . . . Ended up with 15 tackles, including 4.5 for loss with one sack . . . Had three tackles with one for loss and a broken up pass in win over Texas A&M-Commerce.

High School:  Honorable mention All-Stater as a senior at Okmulgee High School . . . Also a track star for the Bulldogs, winning two shot put state titles and finishing as state runner-up in the discus twice.

Personal:  A safety education major . . . Birthdate is July 5, 1989.
