Biography

Big-time senior transfer who will make a huge impact this spring . . . A sensational all-around player set to take over at catcher and should definitely vie for All-America honors . . . Is a potent offensive weapon with the ability to hit for power and average while also providing superb defensive skills behind the plate, highlighted by a strong arm . . . Played in the 2008 Olympics and in the 2010 World Championships as a member of the Dutch National Team and spent the past two years at NAIA power Oklahoma City.

OCU:  Was a first-team NFCA All-America pick at third base last year after hitting .402 with 17 home runs, 11 doubles and 64 runs batted in to lead the Stars to a 48-14 record and national tournament berth . . . Batted .380 with 15 doubles, nine homers and 39 RBI in 2010 to earn first-team All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors . . . Finished two-year career with a .392 average, 26 doubles, 26 homers and 103 RBI . . . Was also named to the Capital One Academic All-America Team last year.

Juco:  Started college career at John A. Logan College (Ill.), hitting .460 with 16 doubles, eight triples, 10 homers and 37 RBI in 2009.

International:  Became a member of the Dutch National Team in 2008, playing in the Beijing Olympics that year . . . Also played in the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City in 2009 and competed in the European Championships in 2009, 10 and ‘11 . . . Helped the Netherlands capture their first European title in 19 years in 2009, contributing an RBI in finals win over Great Britain . . . Also played four years on the Dutch National Junior Team, helping win the European Championships for Juniors in 2004 and claiming Most Valuable Player honors in the European Championships for Cadets in 2005.

Personal:  A native of Oldenzaal, The Netherlands, graduating high school in 2007 . . . A biomedical science major looking for a career as a forensic scientist . . . Names “The Blind Side” as her favorite sports movie . . . Birthdate is July 21, 1989.
