Biography

Senior star and the reigning NCAA Division II Player of the Year . . . Left-handed slugger who has put together a fantastic career, highlighted by a sensational junior season last year . . . Is still recovering from off-season knee surgery, but will once again be the focal point of UCO’s offense with her powerful hitting ability . . . Can drive the ball to all parts of the field and will probably own virtually every school career hitting record by the end of the season . . . Started at catcher her first two seasons before playing mostly at third base last year and will probably see action there and at designated player in 2013 . . . Already owns UCO career records for hits (186), doubles (40) and runs batted in (155) and is tied for the home run mark (34) . . . Carries a hefty .388 career average heading into her final season and is ready to finish her career with a flourish. 

2012:  Was an overwhelming offensive presence all season in helping guide the Bronchos to a 46-9 record, the South Central Regional title and a third-place finish in the Division II World Series . . . Hit .453 while driving in a school-record and national-best 79 runs, also finishing second on the school’s single-season list for homers (19) and hits (79) and fourth for runs (54) . . . Earned South Central Region and Division II Player of the Year honors by Daktronics . . . First-team All-America by Daktronics and a second-team pick by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association . . . Also gained Capital One first-team Academic All-America recognition and was an NFCA Scholar-Athlete selection . . . Had 25 multi-hit games -- including a trio of 4-for-4 outings -- and 22 multi-RBI contests . . . Drove in four-plus runs in eight games, capped by back-to-back six-RBI performances . . . Put together a 16-game hitting streak early in the season . . . Suffered knee injury in regular season finale and missed the first three games of the South Central Regional before returning in storybook fashion in the final game against Emporia State . . . Belted two-run homer in her first at bat and added go-ahead two-run single in top of the seventh inning to lift UCO to dramatic 8-6 finals win over the Hornets . . . Had five RBI in three-game Super Regional victory over Angelo State and ended up hitting .455 (10-for-22) with three homers and 10 RBI in eight post-season games.

2011:  Enjoyed a splendid sophomore season, hitting .346 while leading the team in doubles (11), homers (10) and RBI (37) in earning first-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division honors . . . Finished fourth in the league in slugging percentage (.654) . . . Had a team-high 10 multi-RBI games and shared the team lead in multi-hit games with 13, including four three-hit outings . . . Started in all 42 games played, with 33 at catcher and nine in right field . . . Opened the season with a six-game hitting streak, batting .649 (13-for-21) with four doubles, a homer and nine RBI in that stretch . . . Also picked up NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete recognition.

2010:  Was an instant sensation and went on to earn first-team All-LSC North Division recognition and co-Freshman of the Year accolades with a remarkable rookie campaign . . . Batted .356 with a school-record 19 doubles while also leading the team in RBI (39), hits (62) and at bats (174) . . . Also earned all-tournament honors at the LSC Crossover Tournament and the league post-season meet . . . Hit .500 (9-for-18) with two home runs and six RBI in leading UCO to a 5-1 record in the LSC Crossover and batted .400 (8-for-20) with seven RBI in the LSC Tournament . . . Led the Bronchos in both multi-hit (19) and multi-RBI (10) games . . . Started in all 53 games, with 45 of those coming behind the plate and the other eight at designated player . . . Committed just three errors in 404 chances, finishing with a .990 fielding percentage.

High School:  Earned All-Metro Conference honors twice at Yukon High School and was an All-Region selection her senior season after hitting .431 with 30 RBI in leading the Millers to the state tournament . . . Was named YHS’ Female Athlete of the Year as a senior.

Personal:  Biology major looking to become a physical therapist . . . Sister (Jennifer) also played softball for UCO . . . Enjoys reading among her top hobbies . . . Lists the Texas Rangers as her top professional team . . . Birthdate is May 14, 1991.
