Biography

Veteran tight end back to fill a starting role again this fall . . . Three-year letterman and a proven performer who will be a big part of the offensive attack . . . Can make the tough catches in traffic and is a rugged blocker . . . Team leader who should see more passes come his way in 2011.

2010: Missed the first two games of the season to injury before going on to catch 13 passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns . . . Was an honorable mention All-Lone Star Conference North Division selection at tight end and was also a second-team pick at deep snapper . . . Had a trio of three-catch games, with TD receptions coming against Texas A&M-Commerce (14 yards) and Angelo State (four).

2009: Caught just three passes for 57 yards on the season, but two of them went for touchdowns . . . Had 11-yard TD grab in win over East Central and a 21-yard scoring catch in victory over Northeastern State . . . Other catch was a career-long 25-yarder against Southwestern Oklahoma.

2008: Was set to sit out a redshirt year until suiting up for the final five games, finishing with six catches for 66 yards . . . Snared a career-high four passes for 44 yards in 41-7 rout of Southeastern Oklahoma . . . Other two receptions came in win over Midwestern State.

High School: Class 5A All-Star and an All-District selection as a senior at Duncan High School . . . Also lettered in baseball and basketball.

Personal: A kinesiology major . . . Enjoys hunting as an off-field hobby . . . Birthdate is June 16, 1989.
