Redshirt freshman quarterback who may miss the season after undergoing summer hip surgery . . . Made big strides last year and is a superb athlete with a myriad of skills and unlimited potential.

High School: All-District and All-State pick as a senior at Colleyville (Texas) Covenant . . . Led team to the state semifinals and had 50 touchdowns passing and running his final year . . . Also lettered in track.

Personal: Undecided on a major . . . Father (Brett) is in his fourth year as an assistant coach with the Dallas Cowboys after a 13-year NFL playing career with four different teams . . . Birthdate is July 14, 1992.
