Biography

Returning starter with big-play ability who provides a spark in the secondary . . . Had a breakthrough season last year after moving into a starting role at cornerback and should be even better in 2011 . . . Speedy junior with a knack for delivering game-changing plays and is ready for a banner campaign.

2010: Earned second-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division honors after starting all 11 games . . . Was fourth in the league in interceptions with five while also making 37 tackles and breaking up six passes . . . Also forced a fumble and recovered another, returning it 37 yards for a touchdown against Northeastern State . . . Picked off passes against Tarleton State, East Central, Eastern New Mexico, Southeastern Oklahoma and Texas A&M-Commerce, netting 114 yards in returns . . . Set up short touchdown drives with returns of 41 yards against A&M-C and 32 against Tarleton . . . Had eight-tackle outings against A&M-C and Angelo State, adding a sack and forced fumble in narrow loss to the Lions . . . Also led the team in punt returns (10) and punt return yards (114) with a long of 24.

2009: Was a redshirt candidate before coming on to play the final six games of the season . . . Finished with five tackles while averaging 14.4 yards on nine kickoff returns and 5.3 yards on three punt returns . . . Made three solo tackles at Southeastern Oklahoma . . . Ran back two kickoffs for 59 yards in win over Southwestern Oklahoma, including a 40-yarder in the third quarter to set up a short touchdown drive.

High School: All-State pick and a member of the Oil Bowl all-star team as a senior at Altus High School . . . Had four interceptions on defense and rushed for 702 yards on just 99 carries on offense . . . Also lettered in basketball, helping lead the Bulldogs to a regional title.

Personal: A criminal justice major. . . Enjoys fishing and playing the drums among his hobbies . . . Birthdate is March 28, 1991.
