Biography

Sophomore letterman looking to retain his spot as the team’s top punter while also set to battle for the main back-up job at quarterback . . . Athletic youngster who showed a glimpse of what he can do at the helm of the offense during limited action last year.

2010: Completed 18-of-29 passes (62.1 percent) for 187 yards and a touchdown while playing in three games behind center . . . Started and went the distance against Texas A&M-Commerce, hitting 16-of-22 attempts for 177 yards and his lone TD, a 14-yarder . . . Averaged 34.6 yards on 66 punts for the season with a long of 53 . . . Had 18 punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard-line . . . Averaged a season-best 42.0 yards on five punts against Midwestern State.

High School: All-State selection as a senior at Summit High School in Colorado after previously going to high school in Edmond . . . Also lettered in baseball, basketball and golf.
Personal: A business management major . . . Enjoys snow skiing and motorcycle racing among his hobbies . . . Birthdate is Dec. 12, 1989.
