Biography

Versatile senior star and one of the best overall players in the Lone Star Conference . . . Ranks among the top pitchers in the league as a hard-throwing right-hander and starts in the outfield when not in the circle . . . Has a good array of pitches at her disposal and can be a dominating presence, whether starting or coming on in relief . . . Will also be a key offensive force for the Bronchos and is ready for a banner final season . . . Ranks fourth in wins (31) and fifth in strikeouts (247) on UCO’s career pitching charts . . . Has 16 career home runs, needing three more to move into the top five on that list.

2009:  First-team All-LSC North Division selection as the utility player after going 17-7 with a 3.10 earned run average while also batting .277 with four home runs and 17 RBI . . . Pitched in 30 games with 24 starts, going the distance in 13 of those . . . Struck out 145 batters in 153 1/3 innings and fanned at least five in 16 games with a trio of 10-strikeout outings . . . Picked up all four wins in series sweep of Northeastern State, giving up just two runs and 15 hits with 27 strikeouts in 25 innings . . . Hurled a three-hit shutout in 1-0 win over Midwestern State in the league tournament . . . Was an all-tournament pick in the South Central Shootout . . . Had 10 multi-hit games at the plate and put together a 13-game hitting streak, going 18-for-45 (.400) with three homers during that stretch . . . Was LSC North Division Hitter of the Week after batting .471 (8-for-17) with four RBI the last week of the regular season . . . Had a .354 average with three homers and 12 RBI against North Division opponents . . . Was also an Academic All-LSC North Division selection.

2008:  Picked up All-LSC North Division recognition at two positions, earning first-team honors as the utility player and second-team accolades at pitcher . . . Was also a second-team utility player selection on the Daktronics and NFCA All-South Central Regional teams . . . Pitched in 23 games with 16 starts, finishing 13-3 with one save and a 2.25 ERA . . . Had five complete-game outings and struck out 88 batters in 93 1/3 innings . . . Went 8-1 with a 1.48 ERA in 11 LSC North Division games . . . Fanned five or more batters in seven games, capped by a 13-strikeout performance against Missouri Southern . . . Batted .285 with eight home runs, three doubles and 30 RBI . . . Had seven multi-hit games, highlighted by a 4-for-5, five-RBI outing against Tarleton State .
2007:  Saw extensive action as a true freshman, appearing in 38 games and batting .253 with four homers and 10 RBI . . . Hit solo homer in first-round triumph over Texas A&M-Kingsville at the LSC Tournament before going 3-for-3 during upset of No. 4-ranked Angelo State in the semifinals . . . Saw limited time at pitcher, going 1-2.

High School:  Helped lead Meeker High School to three state titles, earning All-Conference and All-State honors as a senior . . . Also an All-Conference pick in basketball.

Personal:  A mechanical engineering major and multiple member of the President’s Honor Roll. . . Sister (Abbra) played softball at Southwestern Oklahoma . . . Names the New York Yankees as her favorite professional team . . . Birthdate is July 17, 1988.
