Biography
Senior star who ranks as one of the premiere defenders in NCAA Division II . . . Team leader and a superb athlete able to dominate a game with her defensive abilities . . . Three-time first-team All-Lone Star Conference selection who has played in every game (69) with 66 starts during her career . . . A student of the game who doesn’t make mistakes on the field, Miller will once again lead UCO’s defensive efforts in 2009 and is a prime All-America candidate.
2008: Enjoyed a sensational junior season in picking up first-team All-LSC and All-South Central Regional recognition while also earning league Defensive Player of the Year honors . . . Also picked up Academic All-LSC accolades for the second straight year and was a second-team pick on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 6 squad . . . Scored first career goal in late-season win over East Central . . . Was LSC Defensive Player of the Week once.
2007: First-team All-LSC selection after starting all 25 games in helping lead the Bronchos to their fourth straight conference crown and a trip to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 . . . Spearheaded a defensive unit that led the league in virtually every category while recording 13 shutouts -- second-best in school history -- and gave up just one goal in 10 conference games . . . Also gained Academic All-LSC honors.
2006: Earned Co-Freshman of the Year and first-team All-LSC acclaim after leading a defense that gave up just 12 goals and a league-low 0.56 goals-against average . . . Played an integral role as the Bronchos posted 10 shutouts while limiting opponents to just 8.3 shots a game . . . Named to the LSC Tournament all-tournament team after helping guide UCO to that title . . . Scored her first career point with an assist during UCO’s 4-1 victory over Texas Wesleyan.
High School: Three-time All-Conference and All-District pick at Norman North High School, earning Oklahoman All-City and All-State accolades as a senior . . . Also a four-time state qualifier in cross country and a two-time state relay qualifier in track.
Personal: A kinesiology major and multiple member of the UCO Dean’s Honor Roll who wants to be a wedding planner . . . Enjoys running and photography as her top off-field activities . . . Names the Phoenix Suns as her favorite professional team . . . Birthdate is Feb. 19, 1988.
