Returning All-American ready for a big senior season . . . Saw action at 141 pounds early last season before dropping to 133 and going on to become a national placer . . . Will probably start the season at 141 again this year and will most likely go to 133, but would be an All-America contender at either weight . . . Excellent mat wrestler who can scramble his way out of trouble and should be better on his feet this season . . . Will benefit from the experience and success of last year, with the Bronchos looking for big contributions from this veteran.

2008-09:  Came in as a junior college transfer and started all season, finishing 19-17 with nine bonus-point wins . . . Qualified for the national tournament with a clutch third-place finish in the regional and earned All-America status with an eighth-place showing . . . Came back from a semifinal loss at the regional with two straight falls in taking third . . . Opened the national meet with a third-period pin and then dropped a wild 15-11 decision in the quarterfinals . . . Bounced back with a 10-6 consolation victory before dropping two close matches in finishing eighth.

Juco:  Spent three years at Labette (Kan.) Community College, redshirting one year and then starting the next two seasons . . . Was the Outstanding Wrestler in the Jayhawk Conference and a sixth-place national tournament finisher as a sophomore in 2007-08 in earning All-America honors.

High School:  Three-time Midwestern Conference champion at Blanchard High School, finishing third in the state as a senior.

Personal:  A physical education major who made the Dean’s Honor Roll three times at Labette . . . Enjoys fishing and hunting among his top hobbies . . . Names the Dallas Cowboys as his favorite professional sports team . . . Birthdate is Dec. 13, 1986.
