2006-07: Lettered in a back-up role at 165, finishing 9-4 with three bonus-point wins . . . Captured the freshman-sophomore division of the Missouri Open with a perfect 6-0 performance.

2005-06: Competed in four open tournaments, going 12-6 with two top-four finishes.

High School: Two-time state champion at longtime small-school powerhouse Perry High School . . . Went 84-3 his last two years in winning back-to-back Class 2A state titles, going 43-0 as a senior to earn All-State honors . . . Also an All-District pick in football.
