Senior standout and returning All-American set to once again be one of the top 157-pounders in the country . . . Made it all the way to the national finals last year and is determined to end his career with an elusive championship this season . . . Highly-motivated veteran and a vocal team leader who worked hard in the off-season to get ready for his final campaign . . . Physically-gifted grappler with all the tools needed to be a dominating force this season and is especially potent on his feet.

2006-07: Put together an impressive junior season, going 33-8 with 14 bonus-point wins en route to national runner-up finish . . . Had a team-high 103 takedowns and scored at least 10 points in 13 matches . . . Won the Fort Hays State Open and was third at the Central Missouri Open during the regular season, winning 16 of 17 matches during one stretch . . . Qualified for nationals with a second straight third-place finish at the Midwest Regional, dropping a 4-1 semifinal decision to defending 149 national champion Antonio Guerra of Findlay . . . Earned easy 11-3 and 8-3 wins in his first two matches at the national tournament before knocking off No. 2-ranked and defending champion Brad Becker of Wisconsin-Parkside 4-3 in the semifinals . . . Dropped a tough 2-1 tiebreaker decision to Guerra in the finals to settle for runner-up honors.

2005-06: Started all year at 157, finishing 26-12 with 10 bonus-point wins . . . Qualified for national tournament with third-place finish at the Midwest Regional . . . Won his first-round match at nationals before dropping consecutive close decisions to two eventual All-Americans . . . Was runner-up at the Fort Hays State Open, took third at the Colorado Collegiate Invitational and was fifth at the Central Missouri State Open.

2004-05: Was 9-5 with in three open tournaments before hurting his knee at the Oklahoma Open . . . Ended up using a redshirt year to retain a year of eligibility.

Juco: Earned All-America honors with sixth-place national finish as a freshman at Neosho (Kan.) Community College.

High School: Prep standout at Ponca City High School . . . State champion and team Outstanding Wrestler as a senior for the Wildcats.

Personal: A general studies major looking to become a coach . . . Has a son (Layton) . . . Birthdate is Sept. 21, 1984.
