Biography

Junior veteran and former 197-pound starter making the drop to 174 this season … Has shown what he’s capable of and has the ability of contending for All-America honors … Strong, aggressive grappler who is always pushing the action and can score points in a hurry … Started most of the 2019-20 season, then saw limited action last year and retrained year of eligibility when the NCAA opted not to count the shortened 2020-21 season … Came to UCO after spending one year each at two junior colleges.

2020-21: Wrestling four exhibitions, two at 197 and two at heavyweight, and scored four falls … Had two pins in less than a minute, with other two coming at 1:58 and 2:15.

2019-20: Opened as starter at 197 and stayed there until being beaten out late in the season by eventual All-American … Had stellar 20-6 record with 11 falls and one major decision … Cruised to title at Golden Norse Open, was runner-up at the Lindenwood Open and took seventh in rugged Midwest Classic … Five of 11 falls came in first period.

Juco: National qualifier at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in 2018-19, finishing 21-11 with 17 falls … Won a pair of open tournaments and finished third in the regional in advancing to nationals … Spent one year as redshirt at Otero (Colo.) Junior College.

High School: All-State pick as a senior at Noble High School … Also an All-District performer in football for the Bears.

Personal: Industrial safety major … Birthdate is Oct. 24, 1997.
