Biography

Junior big man in his fifth year with the Bronchos … Could see time in the lineup anywhere from 184 pounds to heavyweight … Retained season of eligibility after the NCAA didn’t count the COVID-shortened 2020-21 campaign, then redshirted the following season … Lettered in back-up role the past two seasons.

2023-24: Saw limited action, going 0-4 in one open tournament and two duals.

2022-23: Competed in one dual and two open tournaments, going 6-2 with four bonus-point wins … Capturing Viking Open title with 4-0 run, notching two bonus wins and pulling out 3-1 overtime victory in the finals.

2021-22: Went 13-9 during redshirt season with six bonus wins while seeing action in five open tournaments … Placed in three of those, coming in fourth at the Jet and Viking opens and fifth in freshman-sophomore division of Lindenwood Open.

High School: Three-sport standout at La Cueva High School … State champion as a junior on the mat and finished with 103-26 career record … Also a two-time All-State selection in football and All-District pick in baseball … Helped lead football and baseball teams to state titles.

Personal: Kinesiology major … Father (David) played college football at New Mexico … Names the Chicago Bears as his favorite team … Lists Kevin Gates as his top musician … Birthdate is Jan. 28, 2002.
