Bronchos Announce Wrestling Schedule

Central Oklahoma Hosts Six Home Duals, Super Regional, In Edmond This Winter

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma announced Wednesday its 2025-26 wrestling schedule that includes six home duals and a regional championship at Hamilton Field House.

"I think we have a tough schedule and I think it's going to help us as we prepare to compete for championships at the end of the year," UCO head wrestling coach Todd Steidley said. "We've got some really good opponents and some really good home duals. We also get to host the regional this year, so that's going to be a plus for us too. It's going to be very competitive and we're looking forward to getting started in a few weeks."

UCO has four open tournaments on its schedule this winter, with the season-opening Falcon Open in Wichita, Kansas on Saturday, Nov. 1 kicking off the new year. The Bronchos compete in their first duals of the season with a doubleheader Nov. 2 in Little Rock, Arkansas. UCO takes on Division I program UA-Little Rock and MIAA rival Ouachita Baptist in the first of five league duals. Central will compete in the Drury Open two weeks later, Nov. 15 in Springfield, Mo.

After a trip to Sioux Falls, S.D. on Nov. 16 to take on Augustana, Central Oklahoma will make its 2025-26 home debut against McKendree Saturday, Nov. 22 at Hamilton Field House. UCO hosts its second home dual on Wednesday, Dec. 3 against another MIAA opponent, Newman.

The 2025 Midwest Classic is scheduled for Dec. 13-14 in Indianapolis. Central finished third there last year and second the year before after winning back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023. UCO competes for the final time in 2025 with its third home dual, Friday, Dec. 19 against Maryville.

In the new year, Central Oklahoma will send a contingent to the Jet Open in Wichita, Kansas Jan. 4 before heading to the NWCA National Duals Jan. 9-10.

The Bronchos host their fourth home dual on Friday, Jan. 16 at Hamilton, competing against Grand Valley State for the first time. The Lakers of Grand Rapids, Michigan started their wrestling program in 2023. UCO will compete in its final open tournament Jan. 18 at the Roger Denker Open in Warrensburg, Mo. before finishing the season with six more duals.

UCO visits New Mexico Highlands (Jan. 24) and Colorado State Pueblo (Jan. 25) before welcoming Drury to Edmond for the fifth home dual of the season on Jan. 30. The Bronchos wrap up the regular season with three MIAA duals at Nebraska Kearney on Feb. 6 and at Fort Hays State on Feb. 7. The final dual of the season is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 15 against Central Missouri.

UCO is hosting the 2026 NCAA Super Region IV Championship on March 1 at Hamilton Field House. The Bronchos have won five consecutive regional titles since 2021. The 2026 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championship is scheduled for March 13-14 in Sioux Falls, S.D. Central finished fifth in last year's championships after winning back-to-back national titles in 2023 and 2024.
