Zane Coleman Nabs MIAA Honor

Central Oklahoma 174-Pounder Earns Wrestler of the Week After Dominating Performance

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma's Zane Coleman has been named Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Wrestler of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

The junior 174-pounder had a dominating performance in last weekend's Drury Open in Springfield, Mo., overwhelming four opponents on his way to the championship. Coleman opened the tournament with a 24-second fall, followed with a pin in 2:59 and then had a 59-second fall in the semifinals before cruising to a 7-0 shutout in the title bout.

Coleman is in his first year with the Bronchos after transferring from Arizona State. He's now 6-2 on the season with four falls.

The Bronchos and Coleman make their home debut Sunday, hosting MIAA rival Newman for a 2 p.m. contest. It will be the 300th dual at historic Hamilton Field House, with the Bronchos holding a 233-63-3 in the facility.
