Rosen Earns MIAA Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Jan. 26) -- Central Oklahoma's Paxton Rosen has been selected Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Co-Wrestler of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

A junior 125-pounder from Edmond, Rosen had a dominating performance in the Midwest Duals last week for the No. 3-ranked Bronchos. None of Rosen's three matches went past the first period as he scored a pin at the 2:27 mark against Central Missouri, followed with a 20-4 technical fall against Western Colorado and ended with a 16-1 technical fall against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

Rosen is in his first year at UCO after spending the past three seasons at Division I Campbell. He redshirted his first year there before seeing action at 125 and 133 each of the past two seasons.

UCO, 5-0 on the season, returns to action Feb. 5 when the Bronchos host MIAA rival Fort Hays State.
