Looper Earns MIAA Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Feb. 5) -- Central Oklahoma's Colton Looper has been named Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association co-Wrestler of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

The senior 197-pounder from Perry had a dominating week on the mat for the Bronchos, collecting a pair of bonus-point wins. Looper rolled to a 17-1 technical fall in UCO's 29-12 upset of No. 7-ranked Colorado State-Pueblo last Friday and then scored a second-period fall in a close 19-15 loss to No. 2 Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday.

Looper is now 20-7 on the season with a team-high nine falls.

Central closes out the dual season this week, going to No. 9 Lindenwood on Sunday and Central Missouri on Monday.
