Bronchos End Dual Season On Road

BRONCHOS TO END DUAL SEASON:  Streaking Central Oklahoma heads to Colorado to wrap up the 2015-16 dual schedule this week with a pair of matches.
 
The Bronchos, 10-5 on the season and winner of five straight, go to Pueblo Thursday to take on No. 19-ranked Colorado State-Pueblo (2-7) before moving on to Alamosa Friday to challenge Adams State (1-6).  Match-time both days is 8 p.m. (Oklahoma time).
 
UCO travels to St. Charles, Mo. Feb. 14 for the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament and then is off until the NCAA Division II West Super Regional in Gunnison, Colo. Feb. 26-27.
 
SERIES RECORDS:  The Bronchos have never lost to CSU-Pueblo, owning a 16-0 advantage in the rivalry that includes a 21-12 win last year in Edmond.
 
UCO owns a 22-5-1 series lead over the Grizzlies and have won the last two meetings, including a 46-3 home victory last season.

ABOUT THE BRONCHOS:  UCO has won five straight duals, including victories over the then-No. 3 ranked teams in NCAA Division II (Maryville, 24-15) and NAIA Oklahoma City (20-15).
 
The Bronchos finished a perfect 5-0 at home this season and recorded their 200th win at Hamilton Field House with last Sunday's 38-9 rout of Central Missouri in the home finale.    UCO has an all-time record of 200-59-2 at HFH.
 
Junior 165 Danny Carrillo earned MIAA Wrestler of the Week honors for his performance in two wins last week.  He knocked off defending NAIA national champion Ricky McCarty of Oklahoma City 4-3 to spark UCO's 20-15 dual win over the Stars and followed with a 15-4 major decision against UCM.
 
Carrillo is 24-8 on the season and riding a seven-match winning streak.
 
Senior 149 Spencer Rutherford has won six straight matches and leads the team with 27 wins (27-8) with 13 bonus-point victories.  Redshirt freshman 174 Mason Thompson also has 13 bonus wins and is 24-9 for the season.
 
Junior 141 Joshua Ailey leads the team in falls (nine) and bonus wins (14).  He's 15-7 on the season and received a forfeit in the only match where he didn't score a fall, technical fall or major decision.
