LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Ultimate Fighting Championship Saturday night is hosting The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort and former Central Oklahoma wrestler and two-time All-American Tim Elliott is fighting in the main event.

Elliott recently won the UFC's The Ultimate Fighter 24 and in doing so, gets a shot at Demetrious Johnson and the UFC Flyweight Championship. Johnson (24-2-1, 12-1-1 in the UFC) is considered by many to be one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in mixed martial arts.

This will mark the beginning of Elliott's second run in the UFC. He has a 2-4 record in the wildly popular and top-rated MMA division. He was cut after his last loss. That before entering The Ultimate Fighter 24 earlier this year.

Elliott came to UCO from Labette Community College in Kansas. The Wichita, Kan. native was a two-time All-American selection there and won the 125-pound national title as a sophomore.

At UCO, Elliott kept up the pace. He earned two-more All-American nods with the Bronchos. In 2007-08 he went 23-5 and wrestled his way to the NCAA national tournament final at 125 pounds, where he finished second.

The following season, Elliott went 43-12 wrestling at both 125 and 133 pounds. He won 13 matches by fall, 12 by major decision, and five more by technical fall. He won the NCAA DII Super Regional before finishing fourth nationally and earning his fourth-straight All-American honor overall and second as a Broncho.

Saturday's fight can be seen live on Fox Sports 1. The UFC pre-fight show begins at 6 p.m. on FS1, the preliminary bouts are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., and the main card scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.
