Cody Sanders is in his third season as an assistant track & field and cross country coach with Central Oklahoma.

As the full-time assistant, Sanders leads the cross country program while focusing on the progression of Broncho distance runners and field event athletes during both indoor and outdoor track & field season.

Prior to his time here at UCO, Sanders was a track & field student-athlete at Western State in Colorado. At Western, Sanders was a multiple event standout, earning All-America honors in the 2009 inaugural indoor heptathlon. He was a Two-time Conference Champion in the indoor heptathlon and outdoor decathlon, and led his team to a conference championship win in 2008. He also established school records in two individual events.

A native of Yukon, Oklahoma, Sanders graduated from Western in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and from UCO in 2015 with a master’s degree in Wellness Management.
