Christian Hood has been with the University of Central Oklahoma in some capacity since the fall of 2011. He spent four years playing wide receiver for the Bronchos, then two years as a Graduate Assistant coach, and in 2017, became a full-time assistant coach, handling play-calling duties and coaching quarterbacks.

He led the way as an offensive coordinator and QB coach again in 2018, continuing the high-octane numbers the Bronchos have put up since Hood's arrival seven years ago.

Christian was a four-year starter for the Bronchos, finishing his career as the school's all-time leader in receptions with 185 while ranking third in career yardage with 2,077. He still holds the all-time receptions mark and is fourth in career yardage after guiding a record-shattering consensus All-American in 2017. Hood held a key role in UCO receiver J.T. Luper earning a seventh-place finish in the Harlon Hill Trophy race for Division II's best football player.

Hood has also helped in the Bronchos breaking numerous records over the past few seasons, including five team records for single games and single seasons, as well as nearly 40 individual records for single games, single seasons, and career marks.

Hood had an immediate impact at UCO as a true freshman in 2011 when he led the team in catches (54) and was second in yards (530). He was an honorable mention All-MIAA pick in 2012 after topping the Bronchos in receptions (47) and yards (573). Hood had 37 catches for 483 yards in 2013 and then grabbed 47 passes for 491 yards as a senior in again earning honorable mention All-MIAA honors. He caught at least one pass in 42 of 43 career games.

An All-State pick at Tulsa Union High School who caught the game-winning touchdown pass in the Class 6A state finals as a senior, Christian received his bachelor's degree in political science in the spring of 2015 and his master’s degree in Adult Education in the spring of 2017.

Christian is married (Alexis) and has one daughter (Andie).
