In his fourth year at Central Oklahoma is assistant coach Braden Brown, who coaches infielders for the Broncho baseball team.

Brown helped lead UCO to a 25-21 record in 2021 as the Bronchos reached the MIAA Consolation Finals in the postseason.

UCO was 17-3 in 2020 with Brown helping lead the way before the season was canceled due to the pandemic.

Brown helped the Bronchos in 2019 to a 38-20 record and a spot in the NCAA Division II national tournament. The Bronchos earned a regional berth and made the regional finals.

UCO's infield in 2019 not only led the country in fielding percentage (.985), but also set a new NCAA DII record under Brown's coaching.

Originally from Kansas City, Mo., Brown went to high school at Liberty High before playing collegiate baseball at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas, Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., and at Tabor College in Kansas. He received academic honors at both Coffeyville and at Tabor. Also, while at Tabor, Brown played in the NAIA World Series in 2015.

Brown coached at Coffeyville before joining the staff at UCO in 2019 and has also coached for Cavalier Baseball Club, a summer ball club in Kansas City. He has a bachelor's degree in Sports Management and earned his MBA at UCO in 2020.
