Defensive sparkplug and team leader who will once again be one of the top players in the Lone Star Conference . . . Is set to start for the third straight year and has led the linebacker corps in tackles each of the past two seasons . . . Tenacious competitor with great speed and instincts on the field, a hard-hitting senior who makes things happen . . . Plays with great passion and effort on every play . . . Missed spring practice because of family commitments, but will be one of the top linebackers in the LSC this fall and is ready for a terrific season.

2004:  Was UCO's most consistent defender and finished with a team-high 72 tackles in earning second-team All-LSC North Division acclaim . . . Had six tackles for loss, including one sack, and broke up seven passes . . . Had career-high 15 tackles against Southeastern Oklahoma and had two other 10-tackle outings -- 12 vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville and 10 vs. Tarleton State . . . Forced the fumble that teammate Tyler Ellis returned for a touchdown early in win over Angelo State, also blocking a field goal in that contest  . . . Had nine tackles and two PBUs against East Central.

2003:  Second-team All-LSC North Division pick after amassing 75 tackles with five for loss, including one sack . . . Had a team-high five forced fumbles, including the game-clincher in first-round playoff win over Mesa State when he jarred the ball loose that UCO recovered with 1:07 remaining to seal a 20-15 victory . . . Intercepted passes in three straight games early in the year, scoring on a 30-yard return vs. West Texas A&M . . .Other interceptions came against Southwest Baptist and Texas A&M-Commerce . . . Had four games with 10-plus tackles, topped by 12-tackle effort against LSC North Division champion Tarleton State . . . Had 11 tackles in playoff win over Mesa and 10-tackle outings against Abilene Christian and Southeastern Oklahoma.

Juco:  Spent two years at Trinity Valley Community College, missing the 2002 season to injury before starting all of 2003.

High School:  All-District selection as a senior at Sterling High School in Baytown, Texas.

Personal:  An exercise and fitness management major . . . Birthdate is Sept. 29, 1982.
