Central Oklahoma will be the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will play at home for the first round. The quarterfinals are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 7 and UCO will host No. 5 seeded Missouri Western.

The Bronchos finished the 2021 regular season 12-4-2 following a 1-0 win over Rogers State on Sunday. UCO was 8-2-1 in the MIAA. Missouri Western finished 9-7-2 overall and 6-5-0 in league play.

Central and Missouri Western met once this season in St. Joseph, Missouri. The Bronchos won that match, all the way back on Oct. 24, 2-0. UCO has an 7-2-1 all-time record against Missouri Western including this season's match.

The Bronchos head into the playoffs looking for their fourth consecutive MIAA postseason tournament title. UCO won the 2018 and 2019 MIAA championships before winning the postseason tournament in Spring 2021, which took place unofficially in lieu of the previously canceled Fall 2020 season.

The 2021 MIAA Championship takes the top eight teams in the league at the end of the regular season. The first round quarterfinals are played at campus sites. The top four teams in the league host the next four respectively. The semifinals will be played Friday, Nov. 12 at the site of the highest remaining seed. The same school will host the 2021 MIAA Championship final Sunday, Nov. 14.
