TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (April 22) – Arrow Cunnigham and Tucker Brown combined for nine of Central Oklahoma's season-high 22 hits to spark the Bronchos to a 15-9 Lone Star Conference win over Northeastern State here Friday.

It was the sixth straight win for UCO, which improved to 20-22 overall and 12-19 in the league. The two teams were scheduled to meet for a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday, but rain forced the cancellation of those games.

UCO will return to Tahlequah Tuesday to meet the RiverHawks in a single 2 p.m. game that won't count in the conference standings.

“Today was obviously a day set up for offensive success for both teams,” UCO coach Dax Leone said. “I thought for the conditions Uriah (Fisher) and Aaron (Rosborough) were very productive.

“Our guys have to continue to play with an edge and playing team baseball.”

Fisher started the game on the mound and earned the win by going the first 3 1/3 innings, while Rosborough went the final 3 2/3.

Cunningham was 5-for-5 at the plate with three RBI, while Brown 4-for-5 with three RBI to pace the UCO offense. Ryan Schoonover added three hits and Kade Kauk, Kevin Blue and Jordan Mullin had two each.

The Bronchos trailed 4-0 after one inning, but took control with an eight-run second and went up 11-3 in the third en route to the lopsided win.
